Orlando Basketball is Looking For Sponsors
Team
Orlando Basketball is an AAU, YBOA & USSSA boys basketball team
that participates in basketball leagues and tournaments throughout
the state of Florida. The team is comprised of 10th grade high school
student athletes from the Olrando area. All of our coaches are non-paid
volunteers and the team is in need of sponsors to help pay for practice
time, tournaments and travel related expenses. Click

2011 Presidents Day Shootout Champions!
Team Orlando won the 2011 YBOA & Winning Ways Inc. President's
Day Tournament held February 12-13, 2011 in Altamonte Springs, FL.
Congratulations to (L to R) Head Coach Wayne Washington, Izic Vanegas,
Devante Able, Alex Apuzzo, Andy Rogers, Xavier Burrow, Jeff Trudeau,
Barry Babbitt & Assistant Coach De'jon Everson.
Team Orlando Basketball placed 2nd in the 16 Year Old Division
of the 2010 AAU Boys Basketball Florida District Championship
held May 7-9 in Orlando. Congratulations to (Front L to R) Jeff

Basketball provides a unique opportunity for our players
to acquire physical, social and personal benefits that can help them
throughout their lives.
Further, according to data provided in a February 1, 2006 American
College of Sports Medicine article "Evidenced Based Physical
Activity for School-Age Youth", student athletes generally
do better in school.
The increased
physical activity provides a positive effect on concentration, memory
and classroom behavior.
Additionally,
sports participation has been associated with a lower drop out rate
at the high school level that ultimately has profound social and economic
consequences for students and their communities.

of of your donation goes directly to Team Orlando Basketball to
help defray the costs of gym rental for practices, uniforms, tournament
fees and travel expenses.
